My brother has said that he finally figured out mom was just an okay cook. And Meg says that she likes foods she always hated before when Mom made them.

Believe it or not, the Evil Ex Boyfriend taught me how to cook.

I felt the need to share that with you.

planning meals is always so tough for me, some weeks are good some are bad..i'm always proud of Kevin when he lets me try something new, and surprisingly shrimp and grits was a great success (I'd had it at a restaurant in NC and liked it enough to want to try it at home). hopefully I can borrow some ideas from you...I have a few recipes on our blog that we like, wish i had more (but i get lazy)

glad to hear what you think of a kindle, I'm still a sucker for book but can definitely understand the need for space.

Currently reading Pope Joan by Donna Cross and enjoying it, also really liked this book recently: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Remember, NaNoWriMo is a motivational tool with an arbitrary goal to get people writing. Beating yourself up for not reaching that goal defeats the purpose. If you hit the goal, great. If you don't, look at how many words you wrote during the month and realize you're *that* much closer to being done.

Plus, regardless of how much you get written, you've still written more then I have. If that's not motivation, I don't know what is. :-P

Air tastes like air regardless of the season. And if you like the way the air smells, then why are you covering up that smell with scented candles? Clearly, your actions speak louder than your words and those actions say your words are liars.
